Screenrush got a chance to catch up with woman-of-the-moment Anne Hathaway, but this time not to talk about her attempt at a Yorkshire accent in Lone Scherfig's One Day but instead to try and extract some much guarded details about Christopher Nolan's final Batman instalment The Dark Knight Rises. Our correspondent in Los Angeles, Emmanuel Itier, sat down with Catwoman to chat about Gotham City, Martial Arts and being Nolan's first female action hero!

The Dark Knight Rises being the final chapter in Christopher Nolan's Batman franchise has been kept under wraps for a while now. It seems certain that this will be Christian Bale's last movie as Batman and judging from the past two films, the last chapter certainly won't disappoint. Emmanuel Itier sits down for a chat with the man himself to discuss the upcoming installment, battling Tom Hardy and saying goodbye to the iconic suit.

Interview | Anne reveales the casting process for Selina
What was "The Dark Knight Rises" casting process like for you? And how would you describe your interpretation of Selina Kyle?
I can’t talk about the interpretation because that is just a hermetically sealed secret. [She says jokingly] If you want to take on Chris Nolan, you’re more than welcome to.
The casting process for "The Dark Knight Rises" was Chris met with a bunch of girls to have a general [reading]. And then he culled the list down three-and-a-half months later to do screen tests. So everyone with XX chromosomes [women] in Hollywood was sitting on pins and needles for three-and-half months.
Then I understood he screen-tested a few of us. He tested on a Thursday, and I think the [2011] Golden Globes were that Sunday. And I didn’t mean to, but wherever I went, I just kept bumping into Chris. "I swear I’m not stalking you. I’m not trying to force your hand. I’m not reading anything into anything." But it was really nice because a bunch of people I had screen-tested with, like Wally [Pfister] the DP [director of photography] and Jordan [Goldberg] the producer — they were all nominated for "Inception." I saw them that night, and they all made a point of coming up to me to tell me how well I did.
So I thought it had gone well, but you never want to get your hopes up too high. And so a few days later, I was back in Brooklyn, my manager called me, and she goes, "Meow." And I was like "Ha ha! Oh no, wait! Really?" And she said, "Yes." And I just celebrated! Celebrated! It was one of the best days of my life.

我不能說，因為這是一個非常密實的秘密，(她開玩笑地說)如果你願意承擔克里斯多夫諾蘭，那非常歡迎。
黑暗騎士再起的徵選程序是，克里斯和一些女孩會面，做一些大略的面談，然後他會花三個半月挑選然後試鏡，所以好萊塢每個有XX染色體的人，在這三個半月是如坐針氈。
週四他對我們之中幾個做了試鏡，我記得那周日是金球獎，我不是故意的，但我不論到甚麼地方都會碰到克里斯，
"我發誓我沒有跟蹤你，我沒有試著去強迫你的手，我也沒有將任何東西讀入任何東西" (總之就是Anne說他沒有跟蹤諾蘭，沒有想強迫Chris選擇，沒有心靈控制)
但是還好我試鏡時的那些人，像是攝影總監 – Wally Pfister和製作人 – Jordan Goldberg，他們都因全面啟動而被提名；在那晚碰到他們的時候，他們還特地跟我說我做得有多好。
所以我想應該是一切順利，不過我也不想抱著太大的期望。然後幾天過後，我回到布魯克林，我的經紀人打給我說 "喵"，接著我 "哈哈! 不會吧! 等等! 真的嗎!?" 然後經紀人說 "沒錯! 而且我正在慶祝!! 這是我一生中最棒的日子。"

Batman&Rbin這部票房和影評大失敗的電影之後，蝙蝠俠電影系列沉寂了八年之久，
不過在這段期間之內，其實WB一直有再讓蝙蝠俠重返大螢幕的想法；
並且也曾經發布過新聞稿宣布導演編劇演員人選云云，
以下就是這八年來的事情：

Batman Triumphant -
當WB在看過B&R毛片之後大為驚艷，火速簽下了Joel和編劇Akiva，
希望他們為下一部片子做準備，不過Akiva拒絕了。
1996年末，他們找來Mark Protosevich (Thor, I Am Legend)
主要敵人是Scarecrow，Joker會因為Scarecrow的毒物而重現於蝙蝠俠的腦海中，
Harley Quinn會以配角身分出現，而Joker的女兒(Duela Dent)現身要為父復仇，
演員依舊是克里斯歐唐納以及喬治克隆尼
之後結果大家都知道了，因此WB轉而考慮Batman Beyond或者Batman: Year One
Joel認為他欠蝙蝠俠一部可以反應他真正黑暗本質的電影，
所以在98年中遊說WB拍攝Year One。
Batman DarKnight -
在Joel和WB思考Year One的同時，一位漫畫迷編劇呈上了叫做Batman DarKnight的劇本
給WB，故事是說Batman放棄了打擊犯罪，Dick去了Gotham大學
Dr. Jonathan Crane是該大學的心理學教授，同時也是Arkham的頭號
精神科醫生，他利用這兩項頭銜對恐懼進行實驗。
在一次報復性的對抗，Crane不知不覺啟動他同事 - Dr. Kirk Langstrom的轉換機
將他轉換為Man-Bat，Gotham市民認為Man-Bat的夜間活動是蝙蝠俠的嗜血本性甦醒了
蝙蝠俠不得不批袍再戰。
WB最後決定放棄此片轉向Year One或者Beyond
Batman: Year One -
2000年中，Beyond被放棄了，而WB迅速地將唸頭轉向了Year One
WB找來了Darren Aronofsky (Black Swan)來編劇及導演，而Darren找了FranK Miller
(Batman: Year One原作)一起編劇，他們打算重啟Batman也詢問了Christian Bale
是否可以來主演，後來WB在2002年6月就棄置這項計畫，轉向Batman vs. Superman去了
棄置的理由，可能是因為劇本，根據第一稿
Alfred是非裔美籍工人名叫Big Al
Batmobile是一台改裝過的Lincoln Towncar
Bruce Wayne無家可歸
Batman vs. Superman -
JJ Abrams (MI3, Super8,Armageddon)的Superman:Flyby劇本被不採用後
原本要找人寫新的Flyby，但是Andrew Kevin Walker (狼嚎再起)提了BvS的主意
WB接著找來Akiva改寫Walker的BvS，並且由Wolfgang Petersen導演
劇情：
Bruce Wayne在打擊犯罪上退休五年後，經歷了精神崩潰，Dick, Alfred, Gordon全死了
Bruce的未婚妻Elizabeth Miller幫他走出陰霾，Clark和Lois剛離婚，Clark和Bruce是
好友，並且也是Bruce的伴郎。
在蜜月的時候，Joker殺死了Elizabeth，Bruce計畫著要復仇，Clark試圖阻止他
但是Bruce為了她的死責怪Clark，兩人因此分道揚鑣
Lex Luthor計畫讓他們兩個互相摧毀彼此，想當然爾他們後來就和好共同粉粹Lex的陰謀
電影製作代號：Asylum

原本電影計畫找Christian Bale當蝙蝠俠而Josh Hartnett當作超人
本預定2003年初開拍，拍攝期五至六個月，並於2004年夏上映
後來Petersen去拍了Troy，WB重啟Flyby以及考慮將Batman重開機 (Batman Begins)
不過Petersen和Bryan Singer依舊有興趣拍攝BvS，而且是Bale當蝙蝠俠
(這邊演員的訊息在2010年3月有一些小小的不同)

安海瑟薇回應黑暗騎士再起定裝照評價
"I was not going to admit it: I asked someone to send me a few reactions [to the photo]," she said. "And I happen to know that MTV's reaction was 'meh.' "
Now, we're not sure about the "meh" quote, but we will admit to using the phrases "cautiously optimistic," "unflattering" and "underwhelming" in our analysis.
Regardless, Hathaway said that no matter the first impressions, there is a lot more happening with that suit.
"What I am happy to say is, if you didn't like the photo, you only see about a 10th of what that suit can do," she promised. "And if you did like the photo, you have excellent taste."
簡單來說就是如果你不喜歡那個造型，你只看到了1/10那件服裝可做的事；
如果你喜歡，那你品味不錯。
Anne在說 "MTV's reaction was 'meh.' "的時候好可愛>////<

這篇還不確定100%是真的，但是在WB發布官方照片前，已經準確說出Anne會有Batpod
"貓女顯然是我們目前看過的電影中寫得最好的腳色，
她可能會和希斯萊傑上次一樣搶盡風頭，她在電影中有些很酷的行為像是偷Batpod
和跳窗而出，她有被虐待的歷史，工作是脫衣舞孃和扒手"
某方面有點類似Year One
Catwoman is apparently one of the most well written characters we’ve seen in
these movies so far and she could potentially steal the show the way Heath
Ledger did last time. She does some cool stuff in the movie like jumping out
of windows and stealing the Batpod. Her back story is that she has a history
of abuse and works as a stripper and is also a pickpocket.
